[Personal_archives] passing the baton

Dear SISPA participants,
I wanted to let all of you know officially that I have stepped down as the chair of SISPA.  As founding Chair of the interest section, I have truly enjoyed my time over the last thirteen years (Was it really that long? Went by in a flash...)  working with all of you.  The guest dialogues on the listserv, the ACA Institute on Personal Archives and the special issue of Archivaria all stand out in my mind as ways in which we have actively engaged our colleagues both inside and outside the profession in our investigation of personal archives.  I think we were all breaking new ground together.
It is my great pleasure to tell you that Rodney Carter was voted in at ACA 2014 as the new chair of the section.  I'm sure you are familiar with Rodney's talents, ideas and enthusiasm through his ACA roles and his SISPA involvement.  Personally, I look forward to continuing to be involved in the section under his care.  Go Rodney!
Of course, this news is rather belated but heartfelt.
