[SAC-FAST] FAST Update

Dear FAST Subcommittee,
I have heard from most of you regarding the draft charge for the Interest Group, and look forward to hearing from others. 

It seems to me that it will be advantageous for us to meet in our Subcommittee incarnation during Midwinter in San Diego and present the Interest Group application to CCS there as well. That will allow us to have further discussion on the charge and hopefully recruit additional prospective members for our new Interest Group incarnation. We can even sign the form together. 

I have received an email prompt for the Friday afternoon room reservation and I plan to complete it with past meetings as my model. Please let me know quickly if you think I should do something differently.

I think if this group is going to have life (and get new blood) as an interest group, broadening would be good.  I think FAST should be specifically mentioned in the charter; don't know if we need to specifically include others, but might say something like "including FAST (Faceted Application of Subject Terminology) and other faceted vocabularies such as ... (AAT and LCFGT)" this would imply that we will always include FAST as a topic for meetings, and might include one or more other vocabularies but it would vary.

I like Arlene's suggestion; as an acronym it's FASAIG which is a nice unique googleable string...  well, it's the name of a place in Scotland, but pretty easy to disambiguate.

I like the broadening, too, Stephen.  Is "Faceted Approaches to Subject
Access Interest Group"  too long for a name?
