Hi,
More on the Monterey story. Last week's release was for Monterey on
Apple-M1-based Macs.
A new release is also available now for users on Intel-based
Monterey Macs (and possibly maybe Big Sur), so if you're on INTEL
and on macOS version 11 or 12 (Monterey) AND if you're having
problems with our latest official TLex (or tlTerm etc.), then follow
the same 30 December instructions below but instead of clicking
"Monterey-M1", click on "macOS11-Intel" folder. So it depends what
CPU you're using.
If you're not sure whether you're on an Intel or M1 Mac, click the
Apple menu, select "About This Mac" and see what it says for "Chip".
So to summarize:
* If you're on an Apple M1-based Mac AND on Monterey (or possibly
Big Sur), use the version in the "Monterey-M1" subfolder
* If you're on Monterey (or possibly Big Sur) on Intel-based Macs
AND if you are having problems with our latest "official" download,
use the new version in the "macOS11-Intel" subfolder
* Else, use the latest main normal Mac 64-bit download on our page
(which 'Check for updates' sends you to, currently version .3025,
for macOS v10.9 and higher).
Hopefully we can simplify this in future so it's simpler.
(If you're still on a much older Mac (eg older than 10 years) that
does NOT run our latest official download, then you could try our
archived special legacy build .2925 but in general it's NOT
recommended to use .2925 IF the newer versions work on your Mac.)
Let me know if any problems.
