AASA Semi-Formal
AASA is creating a working group to plan the AASA dance for the end of
the semester--it will tentatively be held on April 27th. This event
will not happen if there isn't input from all the boards. If you're
interested in working with the leaders from the other Asian American
groups and planning what will be THE dance for the community, please
email peter.lu at yale.edu with your interest. The first meeting should
happen next week.
AACC Revelasians Submissions
Revelations is a magazine published every semester by the Asian
American Cultural Center containing essays, poems, reflections, short
stories, artwork, photography and much more from the Asian American
community at Yale. We are currently in the process of collecting these
pieces for inclusion in the Spring 2009 issue and would love to
feature you work! There are no requirements, as long as the work is
your own. If you have anything that you made for fun, for class, for
anything, just lying around, we want to see it! It's really very
simple. Just send your work to kevin.chiu at yale.edu and that's it!
Wrice
Wrice, formally known as the Yellow Pages, is a literary and arts
magazine dedicated to
Asian and Asian American issues and is seeking submissions today for
current events,
fiction, photo essays, poetry, etc (send to: wriceyale at gmail.com) as
well as people to help
with editing, layout, and business. Contact amy.ly at yale.edu for any
questions.

Teach For America Underclassmen Info Session: Planning For TheFuture
Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 (7:00 pm)
Branford College Common Room
We would like to welcome all juniors and underclassmen to come learn
about Teach For America. This is an opportunity to speak with
representatives from the organization, as well as some Yale/TFA
alumni, about their corps member experiences.
Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college
graduates and working professionals - of all academic majors,
backgrounds and career interests - who commit two years to teach in
urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders for
expanding educational opportunity for all children.
Each year, Teach For America selects a diverse corps of individuals
who have the skills and commitment to make a real impact on the
academic prospects of students growing up today in low-income
communities, and to exert long term leadership in the effort to
eliminate educational inequity. Teach For America corps members
receive extensive training, full salaries and benefits, as well as
continual support through a two-year professional development program
to ensure their success as teachers and beyond.
Today there are more than 14,000 Teach For America alumni working in a
variety of sectors, including business, education, law, medicine, and
public policy. Please visit our website to learn more: www.teachforamerica.org
Please join us for an information session and learn how you can join
in the movement to end educational inequity (snacks will be served).
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Crystal Tang at crystal.tang at teachforamerica.org
or David Stanley at david.stanley at teachforamerica.org.

Achievement First Summer Fellowship today!
Achievement First runs a network of charter schools in Connecticut and
New York aimed at closing the achievement gap with students from lower
