ViSA-Sponsered Globalist Dance Party!

ViSA is co-sponsoring a dance party this Friday with the Yale
Globalist! I will send
more detailed info as soon as humanly possible. (This e-mail has
Monday events
in it and thus must be issued posthaste.)

Pho Night: The Redux

Board is planning a second Pho Night this semester. Plans are
tentative, but we are
looking at a February date. As always, stay tuned for more information.

Firecracker

...didn't happen this year. Nevertheless, Happy New Year, everybody!

T-shirt Designs

Can you think of a design better than the admittedly very elegant-
sounding YaleViSA?
More importantly, can you think of a design better than Heo-llo Kitty???

Send them our way by January 31st.

Red Madness

Like McCarthyism but tastier, come to Commons tomorrow night for food
that is hopefully
tastier than you would normally get in Commons! Celebrate Lunar New
Year in a non-
Vietnamese style. Bring earplugs, as there may be Peking Opera.

Korean Food on Friday

From 5-7 at the AACC, there'll be Korean food for New Year's! Check
out the Facebook
event to RSVP ($4 with, $5 at the door) or to look at a picture of
rice soup.

ASIAN AMERICANS NEEDED FOR PHOTO SHOOT
My name is Ka-Man, and I am in my final year of my MFA program. I'm
scheduling some final shoots here in New Haven, and I am currently
trying to find some Asian American Yale students, both graduate or
undergraduate. I'm looking for just very basic actions and scenes and
re-enactments of memories. No nudity, no profanity. I pay $12 an
hour, and give models prints and usually feed people as well if the
shoots are long. Most shoots will take about one or two hours and
will be around New Haven and Yale campus.

Two upcoming shoots:
1. Squeezing people in a car (which my family and I used to do on
drives to Chinatown). Shoot: anytime after 4pm. Age range: 18-25.

2. Eating dinner in a big group. Location: Thai Pan Asian. Shoot:
anytime in the evening, probably Tue, Wed, or Sunday night. Age Range
25-35.

Possible dates for these two shoots:
Fri 1/30
Wed 2/4
Wed 2/11
Sunday Feb 1st

People who are interested can email me at ka-man.tse at yale.edu. You can
also see some of my work at www.tsewhat.com and http://art.yale.edu/KaManTse
. Please also spread the word for me. Thank you so much!
