Dear All,

The reading for the first session of the Working Group in Contemporary Poetics
is now available in out mailbox in the office of the Whitney Humanities Center.
 The packet is a substantial portion (that is, almost all) of her selected
poems, The Granite Pail (edited by Cid Corman).  To supplement this, I am
supplying to texts about Niedecker.  The first is the introduction to the
recently published edition of Niedecker?s collected poems.  The introduction
by Jenny Penberthay has been reprinted online here:

Another article, this by Peter Middleton, that first appeared in Journal of
American Studies. It was subsequently reprinted in The Objectivist Nexus:
Essays in Cultural Poetics, and also is now online at Niedecker?s author
