[Wgcp-whc] WG/CP--Tarn Books available, 1st Session 2/9

Dear All,

Just a reminder that the Working Group in Contemporary Poetics will have its
first session on Feb 9 from 3-5.  We will be reading the work of Nathaniel
Tarn--specifically his Selected Poems (Wesleyan UP, 2003) and essays from his
forthcoming book The Embattled Lyric (Stanford UP, 2007).  The group has bought
copies of the Selected Poems and this is available to members who plan on making
that session or our discussion with Tarn, who will join us on the 23rd.  If you
would like a copy, you can find one on the bookshelves opposite the door in Rm
116 of the Whitney Humanities Center (most likely in a box turned on its side).
 As they say: supplies are limited so act now.  I sent copies of the 3 essays
electronically (as attachments) in my last e-mail.  If you need those again,
either e-mail me or look at the group's archives.

Also, Nancy Kuhl, one of the group's founders and cordinators, has just
published her first collction of poems (Shearsman, 2007).  She has asked that I
pass on the information regarding 2 separate book launches that are being held
to celebrate the new book. (see below and the pdf attachment).
