Dear Poeticians,

I wanted to remind everyone that we are convening tomorrow from 3
PM-5PM in rm 116 of the Whitney Humanities Center. We will be
continuing our discussion of Sea Change by Jorie Graham and this time
the poet herself will be joining us for a high-octane conversation
about her poetry and poetics. As ever, the WGCP welcomes visitors and
first-timers. I've provided the official bio before (though it is
also available at our blog http://wgcp.wordpress.com/), but here is a
link to her website , which has interviews, reviews, and so forth http://www.joriegraham.com/

Also, I wanted to bring news of some recent activities of WGCP members
as part of our march towards world domination. Our own Charles
Douthat will be reading this weekend at Labyrinth Books from his
haunting new collection of poems, Blue for Oceans. Here's a review of
this fine book by our own Donald Brown: http://www.newhavenadvocate.com/arts-literature-articles/memory-man-charles-douthats-poetic-life-043655

Then our own Edgar Garcia will have a poem of his included in a
performance by the Yale choir and orchestra this Saturday, 5p, at
Marquand Chapel.

Then our own member-at-large Brian Johnson will be giving a talk on
collaboration and the painting/poetry interface (an issues of
recurring interest to this group).

Also, at the bottom of this email I provide the announcement of a
forum on "Other Futurisms" published in Semicerchio by our Italian
correspondent and WGCP charter member, the immensely talented
Antonella Francini (who is also Jorie Graham's Italian translator).

Onward!
Richard Deming, Co-coordinator
