Dear neuroscience community members,

You are invited to attend the second joint Department of Neuroscience and INP DEI Equity Journal Club. The goal of the journal club is to facilitate open and honest discussion and education about issues that impact our neuroscience community.

This second journal club will take place on Wednesday, May 3rd at 11:45 am (hybrid format). Please register here: https://forms.gle/hXEgTsmcuNbKnSsHA
During this meeting, we will discuss issues raised by the paper "Equity, Diversity and Inclusion: Racial inequity in grant funding from the US National Institutes of Health<https://elifesciences.org/articles/65697>". You are not required to read the paper ahead of time as we will provide a short summary of the paper before we begin discussion.
Future journal club topics might include structural racism in neuroscience imaging techniques<https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanpsy/article/PIIS2215-0366(22)00079-7/fulltext>, but we welcome your suggestions for future topics!
