Subject: [Neuroscience] Call for nominations: Trainee Talks for the Yale Kavli 20th Anniversary Symposium – Friday, September 20th, 2024
Dear Yale neuroscience community,

The Kavli Institute for Neuroscience is organizing a special symposium on September 20th, 2024, to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The symposium will feature talks from renowned external speakers, Yale faculty, and Yale trainees across different subfields of neuroscience: molecular and cellular neuroscience, disease, systems neuroscience/behavior, computational neuroscience, and development. We are delighted to invite nominations for trainee (graduate student and postdoc) speakers at the symposium. The symposium provides a prestigious platform for emerging scholars to share their research during this special event, which highlights the impactful neuroscience research done at Yale and beyond. Each talk will be 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of questions and discussion.

Eligibility
We welcome nominations for trainees (graduate students, postdocs, ARS) who are currently engaged in neuroscience research at Yale. One trainee will be selected per highlighted subfield of neuroscience. To ensure representation of different labs, trainees who are in the lab of confirmed Yale faculty speakers are not eligible. The confirmed Yale faculty speakers are Pietro De Camilli, Marina Picciotto, Smita Krishnaswamy, Sreeganga Chandra, and Nenad Sestan.

Nomination Process
Trainees may be nominated by their mentors (PI), or they may nominate themselves. To submit a nomination, please complete this survey<https://yalesurvey.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0ApyxRlPKprYSIS>, and send a CV by email to pauline.charbogne at yale.edu<mailto:pauline.charbogne at yale.edu> by June 1st, 2024. In the case of self-nomination, a letter of support from the trainee's PI is required (please send to the same email address).

Important Dates

· Nomination Deadline: June 1st

· Symposium: September 20th

We look forward to celebrating the groundbreaking work of the Yale neuroscience community with you during this very special event!
