Dear WTI trainees,



The Yale Program to Advance Training in Health & Sciences (PATHS)<https://medicine.yale.edu/dice/engagement/pathway-programs/paths/> is looking for Yale MD, PhD, or MD/PhD students interested in serving as a mentor for a PATHS student<https://yalesurvey.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0NEoAN2pQWIA65U>. PATHS is a 10-month program that provides undergraduate students or recent graduates across the U.S. with a transformative learning experience to support their goal of applying for and earning an MD, MD/PhD, or PhD in the biomedical sciences.



Since the beginning of the program, Yale MD, PhD, and MD/PhD have played an important role as mentors and inspirations for our PATHS Scholars! Mentors are matched to 1-2 PATHS students, based on the students interests and preferences. They meet with mentees at least twice per semester over an 8-month period to discuss expectations about advanced degree programs, the application process, work-life balance, career advice, etc. You can read more about the PATHS mentoring program here<http://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vQw_PIGnQi72vOfg-Hlaf0BbB8Mi03wcn4kswfGBXJfBhdiMUj3N7GG3sal0EvJbw/pub>.
