Subject: [Neuroscience] Request for nominations: Johns Hopkins Kavli NDI-X Speaker Series by Sept. 9
Dear Yale Neuroscience community,
The Johns Hopkins Kavli Neuroscience Discovery Institute (Kavli NDI) is continuing the Kavli NDI-X Speaker Series, a postdoctoral fellow speaker exchange program in which Johns Hopkins Kavli NDI hosts fellows from other Kavli neuroscience Institutes for a quarterly seminar series. Invited fellows will present their research to the Johns Hopkins community in 2024-2025, and meet with individual faculty members and postdocs throughout the day. The cost of travel and accommodation will be covered by Kavli NDI.
We are requesting self-nominations from postdocs, as well as nominations of postdocs from PIs. To (self-) nominate, please provide a CV and short description of the candidate’s research interests (< 300 words) to me (pauline.charbogne at yale.edu<mailto:pauline.charbogne at yale.edu>) by Monday, September 9th at 6 pm for consideration. The fellows’ research should fall under the broad interests and mission of Kavli NDI. The Kavli NDI brings together researchers to investigate the function of the nervous system across broad spatial and temporal scales, from synapses to cognition, throughout development and aging. Their primary mission is: "To advance neuroscience discovery by uniting biology, engineering, and computational data science to understand the structure and function of the brain." They support diversity in their community and encourage nominations of women, LGBTQ, minorities, and international students.
Our internal committee will select 2 fellows for consideration by the Kavli NDI committee. Their selection committee will then review and invite one fellow to be part of the speaker series.
Best,
Pauline
