Good Afternoon,



We are recruiting application reviewers for an annual research competition/symposium for high school students. CT AHEC/UConn Health in Farmington will be sponsoring Connecticut Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (CT-JSHS) on February 22, 2025. It will be the 9th year of our sponsorship.

JSHS is designed to challenge and engage students (grades 9-12) in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Individual students compete for scholarships and recognition by presenting the results of their original research efforts before a panel of judges and an audience of their peers. In addition, many students attend as observers. The top 5 presenters will be invited to attend the national symposium in Virginia in April.

We invite and encourage you to join the application review team. We are grateful for your time and expertise in support of CT’s high school students. (Student reviewers will receive a small stipend.)



Two steps:

  1.  Read the attached page about the online/self-paced review process in late December/early January and about the symposium in general. (Additional information about the symposium is here<https://ctjshs.com/>.)
  2.  If you are able to participate as a reviewer, kindly complete this volunteer interest form ASAP (December 4 at latest):  https://forms.gle/8kz7SGdVhFjPikHJ9



We hope to recruit a large enough team to make each reviewer’s load light.
