Subject: Call for Abstracts & Save the Date: AI+DM Workshop - May 23, 2024
Dear Yale community,
We are excited to invite you to an Artificial Intelligence and Human Decision-Making Workshop (AI+DM) that will take place from 11am to 3pm ET, on May 23, 2024 at 100 College St, New Haven. The workshop is sponsored by the Wu Tsai Institute at Yale<https://wti.yale.edu/>, and is the inaugural in a series of workshops that will explore the multifaceted nature of decision-making, converging different perspectives from academia and industry. Confirmed speakers include: Prof. Luciano Floridi, Founding Director of Yale Digital Ethics Center; Chinmayi Arun, Executive Director of Information Society Project at Yale; Chad Losee, member of Yale Task Force on Artificial Intelligence; and Nicholas Donofrio, former EVP of Innovation & Technology and a Fellow Emeritus at IBM, and co-chair of the Connecticut Legislative Task Force on AI.
In addition, the workshop will feature short talks by postdoc/graduate trainees on related topics, as well as a panel discussion. Interested postdocs and graduate students are encouraged to submit an abstract that is related to the theme of AI & Human Decision-Making. We encourage submissions from any discipline (e.g., neuroscience, computer science, psychology, management, law, economics, political science, etc.) to highlight the interdisciplinarity of the workshop. Deadline for the submission is Friday, March 15, 2024. For more submission information, please see: https://forms.gle/Pt2rTSinzLeoKkaw5.
Your voice and insights at this workshop would be immensely valuable, and we sincerely hope you can join us.
With any ideas, suggestions, or needs regarding the current meeting or upcoming ones, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Ohad Dan<mailto:ohad.dan at yale.edu>, Dr. Mohammed Almazrouei<mailto:mohammed.almazrouei at yale.edu> or Ms. Megan Paterson<mailto:megan.paterson at yale.ed>.
