Hello!
A quick reminder about our event next week featuring Professors Brian
Scholl and Daniel Greco. Please join us for a workshop focused on
discussing philosophy, science, and their intersection! Afterwards, stick
around for a post-event happy hour.
🎙️ Workshop Title: "A Scientist and a Philosopher Walk into a Bar... How
can philosophy help brain science?"

This workshop will feature a series of *seminars, Q&As, and interactive
activities* to provide audiences with an understanding of how philosophy
can inform the study of the brain and mind. At the conclusion of the
workshop, *a social happy hour with dinner and refreshments *will be

*About the Speakers:*
*Brian Scholl* is a Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Cognitive
Science Program at Yale University. He directs the Perception and Cognition
Laboratory, exploring how we see and think, with a focus on the
intersection of visual perception and cognition. His research investigates
topics like conscious visual awareness, object perception, causality,
agency, and the foundations of thought. Scholl received his PhD from
Rutgers University and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard before joining

*Daniel Greco* is a Professor of Philosophy at Yale University. His primary
research area is epistemology, with additional interests in philosophy of
science, metaethics, and philosophy of mind. Greco completed his PhD in
philosophy at MIT in 2012, following an MPhil at Cambridge and
undergraduate studies at Princeton. He is the author of "Idealization in
Epistemology: A Modest Modeling Approach" (Oxford University Press, 2023)
and has published extensively in top philosophy journals on topics such as
probability, skepticism, and belief fragmentation. To learn more about Dr.
