A reminder that Prof Rachel Wilson's talk, "*Neural networks for navigation*"
is this Wednesday at 3pm in SPL 57! There are still some slots left for
one-on-one meetings but lunch and dinner are full. See the attached flyer

Please join us for the next student-nominated PEB distinguished speaker on
Wednesday, Nov 6th at 3 pm in SPL 57: *"Neural networks for navigation".*


Prof. Rachel Wilson is the Joseph B. Martin Professor of Basic Research in
the Field of Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School and a Howard Hughes
Medical Institute Investigator. She started her lab in 2004 and has since
received numerous honors including the MacArthur Fellowship, the Young
Investigator Award for the Society for Neuroscience, the Blavatnik National
Award for Young Scientists, and an appointment to the National Academy of
Sciences for her groundbreaking work on sensory processing and neural
circuitry in the fruit fly. Before her professorship, Prof. Wilson
completed a postdoc at Caltech in the lab of Gilles Laurent, a Ph.D from
The University of California, San Francisco in the lab of Roger Nicoll, and
an A.B. from Harvard University.
