Subject: [Neuroscience] YNEURO Journal Club Launch
Dear all,
On behalf of the YNEURO Board, I am excited to announce the launch of our Journal Club this Friday! The session will be moderated by Dr. Mohamed Elsaey, a postdoc in the Lim Lab with an interest in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias. Our paper is entitled "Spinal cord repair is modulated by the neurogenic factor Hb-egf under direction of a regeneration-associated enhancer" (Cigliola et al., 2023). Please find it linked here<https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-023-40486-5>.
Date: Friday, November 15th
Time: 11am
Location: 100 College St., Rm 1135 (Wu Tsai Institute)
We will have light refreshments and a lively discussion. Please reach out to our Research Chairs, Youssef Ibrahim (youssef.ibrahim at yale.edu<mailto:youssef.ibrahim at yale.edu>) and Caleb Prempeh (caleb.prempeh at yale.edu<mailto:caleb.prempeh at yale.edu>), with questions.
*YNEURO is an undergraduate student group affiliated with the Neuroscience Major that creates opportunities for students interested in neuroscience to take part in research, mentorship, outreach, social events, and more. We host career panels, bluebooking events, journal clubs, mentorship programming, and the annual Brain Bee trivia competition for local high schoolers. If you have any ideas for how to enhance neuro programming at Yale, whether you are an undergrad or not, please reach out to zach.moynihan at yale.edu<mailto:zach.moynihan at yale.edu>.
All best,
Zach Moynihan
