The Wu Tsai Institute is happy to announce our 2026 annual conference, led by Associate Director Daniel Colón-Ramos, Director of the Center for Neurodevelopment and Plasticity.

Internal and external speakers will explore how energy shapes neural function, cognition, and intelligent systems. Talks and discussions will interrogate what energy means at different scales—from molecules to minds to machines. Participants will help identify shared principles, tensions, and open questions across fields that can guide future exploration in the Institute’s next Grand Challenges in Cognition.
