*Talk Title: *Cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying the subjective
interpretation of complex experiences.

In this talk, I will share some recent work on how we've used ambiguous,
real-world ("naturalistic") stimuli to uncover the neural mechanisms behind
how people form--and change--their subjective interpretations. I will
primarily focus on some within-individual neural and behavioral work that
probes how the same individual can switch between plausible interpretations
and how these shifts are mirrored by changes in neural activity. I will
also touch on how this may translate to how these subjective experiences
are remembered.
