The Office of Collaborative Excellence and Student Engagement (OCESE) is looking for a MD/PhD or PhD student to join our team this summer. Please see the job description below.

Yale Summer Research Program (SRP)

Job Description: Student Program Coordinator

Dates: May 1 to July 31, 2026

The Yale School of Medicine Office of Collaborative Excellence and Student Engagement (OCESE)<https://medicine.yale.edu/cese/engagement/ysm-summer-research-program/> will host the Yale School of Medicine Summer Research Program (SRP)<https://medicine.yale.edu/dice/engagement/pipeline/ysm-summer-research-program/>. SRP is an eight-week (May 29 - July 24) intensive research program offered to first-year medical students from Meharry Medical College, Morehouse School of Medicine, Ponce School of Medicine, San Juan Bautista School of Medicine, Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine and University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine.

Student Program Coordinator responsibilities:


  *   Hold office hours and schedule individual meetings with program participants as needed
  *   Be the first line of contact for program participants, lab mentors, and OCESE
  *   Ensure program participants uphold the code of conduct and signed MOU
  *   Reach out to faculty and staff about coordinating research projects, matching students to projects, and checking in throughout the summer
  *   Attend staff meetings, program orientation, and closing dinner/ceremony

Compensation will include:


  *   A salary of $2500

Those interested in working with the program as student coordinator should submit a letter of interest to the OCESE Office (ysm.ocese at yale.edu<mailto:ysm.ocese at yale.edu>) by February 15th.
