Dear Giovanna,

We're sharing this message on behalf of the Hello SciCom team - see details below!

Hello SciCom is recruiting participants for a paid 8-week virtual Science Comedy Communication course this fall.

Participants will learn how to use humor to make science, health, technology, and research more engaging for the public. By the end of the course, they’ll develop a 3-minute public-facing talk about why their work matters. No comedy experience needed.

This is a good fit for scientists, researchers, clinicians, educators, public health professionals, STEM communicators, and anyone trying to make complex ideas clearer, funnier, and more memorable.

Find the full application information and form here<https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/click?email_links_id=724590&member_id=26863995>.
Deadline: June 30th, 2026.

Participants will receive a small stipend. Their anonymized work will also help inform a University of Utah study on science communication.

Support for this program is provided by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The views expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views of the Foundation.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone who might be a fit. And if this sparks an idea for your own team, event, campaign, or client, check us out at Hello SciCom<https://yaleconnect.yale.edu/click?email_links_id=724591&member_id=26863995>. We’re always happy to brainstorm ways to make STEM communication more entertaining and effective.
