Dear Trainees,

Reminder that nominations are open for the Sheri D. Choi Memorial Award<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd7j_RD4ULjGEOq_nNh0yJhBAkYByg-r8x5wAGK6mjJdRlM1Q/viewform?usp=header>, which recognizes postdoctoral researchers at Yale who have demonstrated exemplary mentorship and/or significant contributions to their communities over the past year.

The award honors Dr. Sheri Choi<https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=WoATEcsAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao>, a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychology who made lasting contributions to the Wu Tsai Institute and Yale communities through her mentorship and dedication. The award provides up to $1,200 to support a postdoctoral researcher’s career development.

To nominate someone or yourself for the Sheri D. Choi Memorial Award, please complete this form<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd7j_RD4ULjGEOq_nNh0yJhBAkYByg-r8x5wAGK6mjJdRlM1Q/viewform?usp=header> by March 9, 2026.

The award is open to postdocs or associate research scientists at Yale who are within seven years of completing their PhD. Selection focuses on candidates with a strong track record of mentorship, outreach, or community engagement, and whose efforts have had a tangible impact on the Wu Tsai Institute, Yale, or New Haven communities.

There are two nomination possibilities. Self-nominations require the nominee to submit statements and list a referee for a recommendation letter. Referee nominations involve submitting a recommendation for another postdoc; the nominee is then asked to provide their statements and prior community impact. Both tracks receive identical consideration.
