[WTI-trainee] Outreach Opportunity - Neuroscience and Cognition Bootcamp

Hello everyone,

We are reaching out to recruit volunteers for an upcoming outreach event.
The WTI Student, Postbac, and Postdoc Collective (SPPC) Outreach Subcommittee
will be hosting a *Neuroscience and Cognition Bootcamp from April 13–15 *(9:00
AM–3:00 PM each day) at 100 College. Students will also have an orientation
on *April 10 *(1:00-300 PM). It would be great to have volunteers involved
in the orientation as well; whether the orientation will be held in person
or over Zoom is still to be determined.

This intensive three-day program will bring *20 local high school juniors* to
campus during April Recess for the New Haven Public School District.
Students will rotate through 1-hour sessions across the research facilities
at 100 College, take part in professional and academic development
workshops, and propose a simple research project at the end of the program.


This is a great opportunity to develop mentoring skills and to share your
knowledge and excitement for neuroscience and related topics. If you’re

*Note*: You *do not have to be affiliated with the Wu Tsai Institute* to
volunteer for any of the components of this program. All Yale-affiliated
students, postdocs or staff are welcome to participate.
