Hello everyone,

I am excited to announce that the Wu Tsai Institute will be hosting a
trainee-oriented Coffee Hour with Misha Ahrens (Janelia/HHMI) on *May 21
from 3:30-4:45 PM*, following his talk for the WTI Special Seminar
<https://wti.yale.edu/event/2026-05/seminar-misha-ahrens> that same morning
(*10:00-11:15 AM*).

The Ahrens lab uses modern microscopy methods, computational approaches,
and the study of behavior, genes and anatomy to investigate mechanisms
underlying behavioral flexibility, memory, and learning, as well as how
both neurons and glial cells underlie these processes across species from
fish to humans.

We are looking to have 7-8 trainees join us for this small group event to
interact with Misha and ask questions related to this research.* If
interested, please fill out this Google Form
<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScKYIyAdZ_0E6qzVESC5IK9AlmwTeoLRIuWRZ2ISRPOlPx0lA/viewform>
by 12 PM on Monday, May 18.*

Thank you!
Warmly,
Vincent
