Mark von Schlegell, Y'89, will be reading from his new novel Venusia at
the Yale School of Art, 353 Crown Street (enter through Green Hall, 1156
Chapel Street) on Tuesday, October 25 at 7:15 pm. Seating is limited. For
more information contact 432-9109.

Venusia publisher, M.I.T./Semiotext(e), writes: "American-born recent
expatriot to Germany, Mark von Schlegell's fiction scrambles the codes of
traditional science fiction and fantasy with high literature and
philosophy, generating a psychedelic weave of theory and pulp tradition.
His SF and otherwordly ficto-criticism appears regularly in the
international art underground--from Brazil to Auckland to Berlin."
