CHRIS ADRIAN and HEIDI JULAVITS

_CHRIS ADRIAN _is the author of GOBS’ GRIEF and most recently
CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, a New York Times Book Review Editor's Choice,
"an elegant and enormously wondrous monstrosity" (Booklist).

"Chris Adrian is a novelist, a doctor, a philosopher, a literary
explorer, the humble clear-eyed prophet of our time ... To read him
is to be understood: to know you are not alone in your misery, your
self-doubt, your sins of pride, your wild joys, your insomnia, your
madness, your desire." --- Marilynne Robinson

_HEIDI JULAVITS _has published short stories in Esquire (included in
The Best American Short Stories 1999), Story, Zoetrope, and
McSweeney’s. Her first novel, THE MINERAL PALACE, was a finalist for
the Young Lions Fiction Award, and a Los Angeles Times Notable Book
of 2000. Her second novel, THE EFFECT OF LIVING BACKWARDS, was a New
York Times Notable Book of 2003.

Her new book is THE USES OF ENCHANTMENT, described by the NY Times as
"a black-humored tale of psychoanalysis, Yankee repression and prep
school angst."
