September 20, 4 pm. This event is free and open to the public. For

Pulitzer Prize winner Yusef Komunyakaa is the author of many collections of
poetry, including Pleasure Dome: New & Collected Poems, 1975-1999, Talking
Dirty to the Gods, Dien Cai Dau, and Neon Vernacular: New & Selected Poems
1977-1989. He has received awards from the Louisiana Arts Council, and the
National Endowment for the Arts, and he was awarded the Bronze Star for his
service in Vietnam, where he served as a correspondent and managing editor
of the Southern Cross.
