Yale University Press is delighted to welcome acclaimed French poet Hédi Kaddour to the Yale campus.

Full of sensuality, erudition, and wit, Hédi Kaddour's poetry arises from observation of contemporary life, of human stubbornness, human invention, human cruelty, of the way the past invisibly
inflects and inflicts the present. With Treason, published this spring by Yale University Press, the award-winning poet and translator Marilyn Hacker presents an English-speaking
audience with the first selected volume of his work. The poetries of several literary traditions are lively presences in the work of Hedi Kaddour, a Parisian as well as a Germanist and an Arabist.
