Akhil Sharma will be joining students in the Sterling Law Building this afternoon for an intimate conversation on writing. Sharma won the PEN/Hemingway Award for Fiction for 'An Obedient Father.' His second novel, 'Family Life,' was released this year. In it, he chronicles his newly immigrated family's experience with tragedy after his older brother-an academic star destined for greatness-dives into a pool and hits the floor, an accident that leaves him brain damaged.
Akhil Sharma graduated from Princeton University, received a Wallace Stegner Fellowship at Stanford, and a law degree from Harvard. He later became an investment banker.
CORRECTION: Join us in Room 122 at 5 pm at Yale Law School!
