Saudi Novelist Dr. Mohammed Hasan Alwan will be speaking at Yale about his new novel A Small Death, the fictionalized story of the real-life Sufi philosopher and traveler Ibn Arabi. Dr. Alwan will be speaking about the novel on Wednesday, October 4th, in Linsly Chittenden Hall, Room 317, at 6:00 PM. John Crowley of the English faculty will join Dr. Aslan for a discussion after his talk, and moderate a brief Q&A.  A  reception will follow.
