THE POETRY INSTITUTE –

NEW HAVEN

Featuring

Lisa Seidenberg

and Poetry Film

Thursday, September 21, 2017

Filmmaker Lisa Seidenberg will screen a selection of short poetry films. Poetry Film (also called video poems or cine-poetry) is a creative new genre that merges the arts of cinema and poetry. The films are generally short, whimsical and dream-like, the visuals providing a counterpoint to the words rather than a literal match. Twice awarded as an Individual Artist by the CT Commission on Culture and Tourism, Lisa Seidenberg's experimental films and documentaries have been shown in numerous international film festivals and venues. including the International Berlin Film Festival, the London Documentary Film Festival, the International Video Poetry Festival (Greece), Experiments in Cinema (New Mexico), Moscow Video Art Festival, and in exhibitions at the A.I.R. Gallery (NYC) and Art of the NorthEast. www.missmuffett.com<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.missmuffett.com_&d=DwMFaQ&c=cjytLXgP8ixuoHflwc-poQ&r=utafVVnK_aXVelVdzUMRSiCKdAvNHVBc6mgP9nbKaoE&m=knOMNx_lxiOV1DsVtWBZKPuj68yTVG7C4K2S4coLrEE&s=mZUeRu5yhfZIgVnVEekzIrupSp-XuAWH1S7rUMmEd3Y&e=>
