DAVID LITT
Former White House speechwriter
Thursday, April 5, 6:00 P.M., Branford Common Room

David Litt is the author of Thanks, Obama: My Hopey Changey White House Years, a bestselling memoir about his experiences as a speechwriter for President Obama, starting at age 24. Litt, who has been described as "the comic muse for the president," served as Obama's lead joke writer for four White House Correspondents Dinners. The New York Times called his book "brilliantly observed" and "inspiring." It's also very funny. Anne Fadiman, his former writing teacher, will introduce him.
