Wendy Chen is the author of Unearthings (Tavern Books) and editor of Figure 1 (thefigureone.com<https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fthefigureone.com&data=02%7C01%7Cnancy.kuhl%40yale.edu%7C6601aed0c01843f6fd4c08d621da01de%7Cdd8cbebb21394df8b4114e3e87abeb5c%7C0%7C0%7C636733617551586269&sdata=PLKli%2BaD5ynh5IrnDF63yK4KexglOL9Xpj7QkQFhuS8%3D&reserved=0>), an online poetry journal featuring work from new and underrepresented voices. Her work has appeared in Crazyhorse, Rattle, A Public Space, and elsewhere. Chen is the recipient of the Academy of American Poets Most Promising Young Poet Prize, and fellowships from the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center and the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund. She earned her MFA in poetry from Syracuse University.
