Dear NACO catalogers,

At ALA, RLG announced the latest dates for RLIN21 implementation, though
they have not yet updated their web pages.

The end date for *bibliographic* record input and retrieval using the
current RLIN Terminal for Windows software is February 25th. There will
then be a three day hiatus, during which RLIN will be completely down.
Starting on Tuesday, March 1, all bibliographic record retrieval and input
must be done using RLIN21.

The end date for *authority* record input and retrieval using RLIN Terminal
for Windows has not yet been determined. A new version of the RLIN21 client
(with NACO functionality) will be released for testing sometime in
February. The cut-over for when we start using RLIN21 for NACO work will
happen sometime in March. They could not say how long the interval would be
between the release of the NACO test client and the cut-over.

They also could not say whether the Authority Assistant "gen" command would
be available from Day 1 (if anyone is using that command).

That's all I know at this point!

-Manon
