Just a reminder that the first of the two RDA/NACO webinars is scheduled for tomorrow morning from 9-11. The Beinecke folks have booked room 39 at the BRBL and have kindly invited anyone interested in viewing and participating in a group session to join them. If you're going to view it from your workstation please refer to Paul Frank's instructions below for checking your connection before the webinar begins.
Thanks,
--Rick

Hello all-
The links to the RDA/NACO webinars are below. We're registered for the two Tuesday sessions, June 12, 9-11 a.m., and June 19, 1-3 p.m. I couldn't secure a room in SML for the first webinar, but the Rare Book Team catalogers have graciously invited any of us to join them in Room 39 at the Beinecke for those who would like to view and participate in a group. I've reserved SML 332 for the second webinar. You can also connect from your workstation, and if you prefer to do that there are instructions for checking your connection ahead of time, which is probably a good idea so you can be sure that everything is working as it should.
According to Paul Frank from LC, there is no set agenda for the webinars. Each one will be basically the same, just an opportunity to ask questions and review the exercises, so participation in both is not required.
I'll send out reminders the Monday before each webinar, and if you have any questions please let me know. Thanks.

Hi everyone,
This is a long message and I apologize for that. The key points are: 1) The RDA June webinars; 2) Sending your questions in advance of the webinars, if possible; 3) Accessing the webinars.
Paul
I have set up the RDA in NACO Training webinars for this month. Please see below.
A "(I)" next to your institution or funnel means it is your first webinar, a "(II)" means it is your second.
If you have any specific questions you would like to ask during the webinars, it would help me and Melanie a lot if you could send them to us in advance. That way we can investigate if necessary and give a definite answer during the webinar. Otherwise you may hear us say, "we need to check on that" or something else that is not helpful.
The first webinar is this Thursday, June 7, 1:00-3:00 PM. I realize that is tight-- those of you who are scheduled for that one, please let me know if you are unable to make it.

We will use iCohere for the webinars. I am including the links to the webinars here. You will need to click on the link to join the session; then you will need to login with your name and an email address. The session will become active 15 minutes before the webinar actually begins. But if you want, you can click on the link at any time before the webinar and run the computer check (see the image below--click on "Is my computer ready?"). A headset is recommended for the webinars. You can run the Audio and Microphone Wizards within iCohere to make sure everything is working.
