If you had issues replacing the macrobook, try the following:
Go to the site in the instructions and when the dialog box has been opened, select Save (as instructed).
To get to where you want to save the macrobook, follow the path:
C: Program Files-->OCLC-->Connexion-->Program-->Macros
In the Macros folder, rename OCLC.mbk to OCLCold.mbk
Save the new macro book (which will have the name oclc.mbk)
<as I recently learned, it appears that the new oclc.mbk does not overlay/replace the old oclc.mbk as the instructions suggest. This is why you need to rename the old oclc.mbk to oclcold.mbk-- so the new oclc.mbk does not attempt to overlay the old file>
Test the macro in Connexion. Select the 1xx or 7xx with the name you need for the new NAR, and click the generate NAR icon.
The NAR generated is quite different from the display created by the pre-RDA macro. The new NAR will look like this:
[cid:image001.png at 01CE2F9D.10E55900]
Note that the Rules field now has the correct "z" code for RDA. The 670 has the date of publication. I'm pretty sure the date generated is not affected by 264, but this particular bib record has 260. On the right you see a column with prompts for the various new MARC fields for the RDA identity attributes, so you can select whichever ones you want to add to the record.
Comment from Hideyuki Morimoto at Columbia: "The new version of the GenerateAuthorityRecord macro handles not only bibliographic field 264s but also non-Latin script VAPs. I have just tried the non-Latin script cross-reference functionality with a Japanese personal name and a Japanese series, which are fine; however, I have not been able to automatically populate a name-title non-Latin script VAP from bibliographic fields 100-240 combination, while *romanization* AAPs based on bibliographic fields 100-240 continue to be processed as before."

Announced today. The download instructions worked for me. Unless you catalog directly in OCLC, it's the last macro (GenerateAuthorityRecord) that will be a useful update for our NACO work, since the glitch that prevented coding of rda when the source record had a 264 field has been fixed. (This is the macro where you select the bibliographic field of the name you want to establish, click the icon, and a new authority record is created with $e rda and Desc rules c. ) Be sure your preferences are set for RDA in Connexion (Tools-->Options-->Select RDA tab and check off all the boxes) before you download.
If you catalog directly in OCLC, you may find macros 1 and 2 to be useful.

Subject: OCLC Macrobook Revision
OCLC is pleased to announce that an updated version of the OCLC macrobook for the Connexion client is now available for download at: http://www.oclc.org/content/dam/oclc/connexion/oclc.mbk
This macrobook contains revisions to the following three macros:
1) Add33x - Updated to pre-select common menu choices based on coding in the fixed-field and 300 $a
2) Generate043 - Updated to include more places and accommodate changes in names
3) GenerateAuthorityRecord - Updated to generate name authority records with RDA coding and prompt for the addition of attribute information, etc.
When you click on the link, select "save" on the pop-up box, and then save the macro to the folder containing other Connexion client macros, i.e., /Program Files/OCLC/Connexion/Program/Macros. If you are asked if you wish to replace the existing oclc.mbk, respond with "yes". That's all that is needed. Your macrobook will then be updated to include the revisions noted.
