Join us for an informative and engaging webinar presented by Adam Schiff, designed specifically for NACO catalogers looking to deepen their understanding of NACO rules and practices for corporate body name authorities. This session, organized by the MELA Committee on Cataloging, will focus on creating and enhancing name authority records for corporate bodies, with a special emphasis on the challenges and strategies when dealing with non-Latin scripts?especially Arabic and Persian.

  *   Overview of NACO best practices for corporate body name authority
  *   Focus on common mistakes in coding; bodies with more than one name; subordinate bodies; ambiguous entities; international bodies; conferences; attributes of corporate bodies
  *   Common challenges catalogers face with non-Latin scripts
  *   Special focus on Arabic and Persian corporate body names, real examples and solutions for enhancing NACO records
  *   Tips for improving consistency and accuracy in authority records
