[Yale ArchivesSpace] results from testing and reminder -- production environment upgrade tomorrow morning

Hi everyone,

I wanted to piggy-back on Melissa's message from yesterday afternoon to remind everyone that ArchivesSpace will be moving to more robust hardware tomorrow morning. This means that ArchivesSpace will be down from 6am-10am, and services that rely on ArchivesSpace (including some forms of Aeon requesting) will be down as well. Once ArchivesSpace is moved, you will be able to use it at the same URL and with the same log-in procedures as you would normally. I hope that you'll be sure to submit feedback to both libraryit.entsys at yale.edu<mailto:libraryit.entsys at yale.edu> and me (maureen.callahan at yale.edu<mailto:maureen.callahan at yale.edu>) to let us know if something seems off, if everything seems better, or anything else that you may notice.

I also wanted to thank everyone who participated in testing, and wanted to share the feedback that you had given about experiencing the side-by-side environment. A common thread was that even though this is a much zippier environment for most tasks, there are still some areas of the application (saving accession records, saving records with many links) that still need improvement. I definitely agree, and I hope to have good news on that front soon.
