[Yale ArchivesSpace] Upgrade to TEST ArchivesSpace this weekend

Yale Archival Management Systems Committee and LIT have scheduled an upgrade of our Lyrasis hosted TEST instance of ArchivesSpace for this weekend. Beginning 6pm Friday 9/15, the TEST instance will be refreshed from production and then upgraded to the current release, 2.1.2.

If there is any unique data in TEST you would like to retain, please coordinate with your ArchivesSpace Repository Manager to do so before the end of the day tomorrow. Lyrasis will take, as usual, two database backups tomorrow, before the upgrade begins.

Staff have been testing the 2.1 release on our DEV instance for several months, and key integration services have also been tested for continuity on the new application release.

The 2.1 release brings many improvements to the staff interface for managing EAD data/large files, and it is also the base release required for eventually implementing the new public user interface for ArchivesSpace.

Matthew Gorham, Chair of YAMS, will send out the all clear message sometime Monday morning, for when staff may resume any test work in TEST.
