[Yale ArchivesSpace] ArchivesSpace PUI Usability Report

Dear Yale ArchivesSpace Community:

The Usability and Accessibility Workgroup (UA Workgroup) of the ASpace PUI Implementation team has recently finished a period of usability testing on the current iteration of the new PUI. We have collected our findings in a report and we are proud to share it with you this morning (see attached).

Findings in the report are based on usability testing conducted between February 1 and February 16. The report outlines our method, testing audience, and responses from users. The report also includes recommendations from the UA Workgroup with some recommendations identified as high priority based on user feedback and the number of users who had problems with any one issue. Other than this distinction, we did not rank the recommendations.

We are excited to pass the report on to the PUI Settings and Enhancements Workgroup. They will review the report and use the collected information and recommendations to make decisions about further changes to the PUI.

I will be presenting a summary of the report to stakeholders at our monthly meeting tomorrow. Alison Clemens will join me to discuss next steps.
