[Yale ArchivesSpace] ArchivesSpace :: Coming Update, Downtime

Friends of ArchivesSpace at Yale:

This Friday evening, the ArchivesSpace application (both staff and public sides) will be offline for approximately an hour, beginning close to 6p EDT, as we roll out some updates to the application.

The changes are substantially in the areas of the public request workflow, requesting multiple objects where arrangement permits, requesting of digital object instances for Reading Rooms, adding a restriction for Born Digital objects and transmitting all restrictions to Aeon, easier identification of search results that have digital objects by adding a thumbnail to the results (caveats apply), improved navigation through additional breadcrumbs, streamlined CSV download files, and conformance of repository names and layouts in the public dropdown.

Credit for the work goes to all of YAMS, with extra participation from Christy Bailey-Tomecek and Alicia Detelich (YAMS co-chairs), Alison Clemens, Mark Custer, and Moira Fitzgerald, as well as to our development contractors, Bobbi Fox and Hudson Molonglo.
