Aaaand it’s back. Lyrasis says they have some actions ready, but were wanting to get to the weekend so the actions wouldn’t themselves be disruptive.

Lyrasis informed me after the last time this happened that we are getting an unusual amount of traffic to Archives @ Yale, which may be the cause of this occasional downtime recently. I’m confident that they’ll be able to bring it back up quickly and I'll try to work with them to see about a more robust defense if this is AI bot traffic as many sites are experiencing (anecdata).
