[Yale ArchivesSpace] ArchivesSpace Downtime and Restart Tonight after 7pm EST

Hi YULASpace,

As some of you have already noticed, Archives at Yale/ArchivesSpace has been unresponsive at times today. The issue was reported to our hosting vendor, Lyrasis, who confirmed that it was caused by a high volume of requests sent in rapid succession from a single IP, overwhelming the system and preventing recovery.

To help mitigate this, Lyrasis will be running tests and making adjustments to better handle these load spikes after business hours today. This will involve some restarts, which they plan to do around or after 7:00pm tonight. Just a heads-up in case you notice any disruptions during that time. Please save your work before the end of the day.

I'll share any further updates as I have them.
