In the course of looking for articles to read for my learning plan, it
occurred to me it might be helpful if we had some direct links to available
e-journals on Cataloging at Yale/Tools and Resources. I've added some of
the usual suspects to a new section on that page:
http://www.library.yale.edu/cataloging/tools.htm#ejournals
Note that the last bullet is a link to the Yale page listing all of the
available e-journals in the library science area.
The current LRTS has an article by Jennifer Bowen "FRBR: Coming soon to
your library?"
The "current" (actually at least one issue behind our hard copy receipts)
issue of Cataloging and Classification Quarterly is a theme issue on
authority control with many interesting articles. The previous issue has an
article "GMD: its function and its history."
Issue 3, (2-2005) of Technical Services Quarterly has an article:
"Administration of electronic theses/dissertation programs: a survey."
Because these are provided by vendors, I can't vouch for their stability,
but I certainly enjoy the convenience of printing from PDF (compared to
photocopying from CCQ which was a real pain).
