Subject: RDA Prospectus

At the April 2005 meeting, the Joint Steering Committee for Revision of
AACR decided that a new approach to the development of the new edition of
AACR was necessary, as well as a change of name to RDA: Resource
Description and Access.

One of the first steps in this process is the publication of a prospectus
for RDA, now available at:
http://www.collectionscanada.ca/jsc/rdaprospectus.html
