Subject: Re: LC catalog very slow

Since Monday, May 19th, the first day on a new software release, we =
have had significant problems in the LC Online Catalog and LC Authorities. =
We believe that we have resolved most of the issues and suggest that =
users clear the cache in their browsers in case errors remain there.
Call Number Browse searches are still a problem. We have reported it =
to our software vendor and colleagues in our IT department are investigatin=
g as well. Many searches will still run to completion although they may =
take a few minutes.
Users should report problems to the ILS Program Office at ils at loc.gov =
and include the date and time of their search; the type of search; and the =
term(s) being searched.
I apologize for the inconvenience to LC's users.
