[Yulcat-l] Architecture chronological subdivisions

For catalogers who do architecture. Just a heads up in case you missed the CPSO announcement. Headings of the type: Architecture--United States--20th century should now be expressed as: Architecture--United States--History--20th century.  I'm attaching a summary of former and current practice (to the best of my understanding) that I distributed to the SACO Committee earlier this week.  Cat Mgt has been notified and they will address the legacy headings.  LC has in many cases made authority records for the new string with a reference from the former string, so I expect Backstage processing will be able to flip any member copy that follows the old pattern.
