John Mitchell, a long-time fixture of cooperative programs at the Library of Congress, will conclude his thirty year career at the Library January 2, 2010. Any one who has worked with LCSH and classification over the years has encountered him and his remarkable personality.

John will be attending ALA Midwinter in Boston and plans on going to SACO and other PCC meetings. I hope that every one will take the opportunity to say hello and thank him for what he has done over the years.
