In case you're wondering about the odd salutation ... I was thinking "Dear colleagues" but looking at a "Dear staff" newsletter at the same time, which is what I accidentally typed. FWIW.

Subject: [Yulcat-l] Request for feedback on usability docs

Dear staff,

As the CMS liaison to the Usability and Assessment Advisory Group, I'd like to share with you the following document: http://www.library.yale.edu/libepub/usability/studies/fy_o8_all.doc, and ask for feedback on running specific kinds of Urchin (web traffic analysis) reports. For example, I personally suggested running a count of how often patrons follow links from Yufind to corresponding WebVoyage records.

We're also interested in feedback on this MetaLib 4 document:
https://collaborate.library.yale.edu/usability/Shared%20Documents/Metalib%204.0/MetaLib4_interface_highlights.doc There are new options for faceting and clustering, for placement of Metalib quicksets, and other things.

Suggestions? Concerns?

Thanks.

Daniel
