"PCC & RDA: Breaking the Silence" (PCC Participants Meeting at ALA Midwinter 2011)

The Program for Cooperative Cataloging invites the larger library community as well as its partners to the PCC Participants Meeting. Responding to a set of questions related to their experience in applying RDA during the U.S. RDA Test, a panel of catalogers will talk about their experiences as PCC participants in the test. The speakers will represent experiences as PCC participants in the test. The speakers will represent the existing MARC-based PCC programs (BIBCO, NACO, and CONSER) and the non-MARC metadata viewpoint. Discussion will focus on what they learned during the test that has a bearing on future PCC policy and operational matters.

Panelists:

Chris Cronin (Chicago)

Joanna Dyla (Stanford)

Robert Maxwell (BYU)

Melanie Wacker (Columbia)

Beacher Wiggins (Library of Congress, representing US RDA Test
